It has been a year since GLOTAL began to post the blog. The first blog was about autumn colors in Asari Dam area. This year, let us introduce another beautiful autumn leaves spot where even people in Otaru Hokkaido hardly know.
There is a beautiful wooden building called "Wako-so" in Shiomidai, where is the area near JR Hokkaido Minami Otaru Station. Wako-so is a private property of a company in Otaru. The large garden surrounds Wako-so has many trees whose leaves get brilliant red in autumn.
The photograph in this page was taken last year, but you can expect the same beautiful colors this year too. To get Wako-so, using taxi from JR Minami Otaru Station or JR Otaru Chikko Station may be the best. It's only about 7 or 8 minutes from both stations.
