1. Otaru Aquarium, Nishin Goten(Herring Mansion)
Take No.10 or 11 bus to "Otaru Suizokukan(Aquarium)" from the gate No.3 of Hokkaido Chuo Bus Otaru Terminal in front of JR Otaru station. Otaru Aquarium is the last stop of the line. Herring Mansion is about 5-minuite-walk from the bus stop.
2. Mt.Tengu, The Glass Studio in Otaru
Take No.9 bus to "Tengu-yama Ropeway" from the gate No.3 of Chuo Bus Otaru Terminal. You can catch the bus at "Chuo-dori" stop just in front of Hokkaido Bank, and "Sangyo-kaikan-mae" stop across from Mos Burger,too.
3. Gohyakurakan (Five Hundred Statues of Buddha's Disciples) of Soenji Temple
Take No.2 or No.3 bus from "Otau Eki-mae" stop in front of a pachinko parlor. Get off the bus at Ryutokuji-mae(Ryutokuji- temple)stop. Cross the road, and walk a few minutes to Sapporo direction along the main road. Take the first slope right. Soenji Temple is at the top end of the slope.

Getting there:
Go right against the backdrop of the entrance of JR Minami Otaru station, and cross the viaduct. When you get to the intersection, cross it, and turn left and go down the slope. You will find the shop on your right soon. Don't miss it, as it is so small. Open 11:00-17:00, Monday-Saturday
